SMITHSBURG — It was déjà vu all over again at the Leopard Holiday Invitational on Saturday, as Springbrook, Milford Mill and Smithsburg took the top three places in a repeat of last year’s tournament results.

Smithsburg finished third with 202 1/2 points, led by its three individual champions — Dalton Condo (170), Travis Leopold (195) and Saul Herrera (285).

To wrap up their titles, Condo earned an 11-3 major decision over Baltimore Polytechnic’s Corey Jones, Herrera defeated Rayem Ali of Springbrook 4-2 and Leopold defeated Deven Fensenfeld of Milford Mill 6-3.

“I’ve always been highly active in sports, so that’s how I feel when I’m here. When I’m on the mat, nothing else matters,” said Leopold, who improved to 11-1 on the season. “It’s my senior year. I have to strive to be the best I can while I’m here for myself and the team. 11-1 has been my best start of all my 11 years wrestling.”

“Travis and Saul are the captains and they’re both doing a super job with leadership,” said Smithsburg coach Joe Dietrich. “They along with the juniors are keeping the team motivated.”

The Leopards also had a runner-up in Ryan Alshire (132) and four third-place finishers in Ryan Milligan (126), Zach Mutchler (152) Darien Kesler (160) and Bryce Scott (182).

“We’re ahead of schedule as far as where I thought we’d be thus far,” said Dietrich.

Springbrook finished with 267 points and five individual titles, while Milford Mill finished with 206 points.

In other local action, Greencastle-Antrim finished in fifth place with 114 1/2 points. Cody Carbaugh (113), Wade Rider (120) and Ryan Wolf (145) took individual titles, while Wyatt Binkley (106) finished second and Jared Starliper (195) finished third.
