11 - HCC women lose Region XX final 53-35 to Chesapeake.

13 - In baseball, St. Maria Goretti wins opener 22-2 over Spencerville.

14 - In boys basketball, Hedgesville beats Wheeling Park 37-35 in West Virginia Class AAA quarterfinals.

16 - In boys basketball, Hedgesville beats Parkersburg 62-56 while Martinsburg loses to George Washington 53-51.

17 - Hedgesville wins its first state title since 1970 with a 33-32 victory over George Washington.

19 - HCC names Vicky Bullet new women’s basketball coach.

21 - Williamsport’s Evan Hardy is The Herald-Mail’s Boys Indoor Track Athlete of the Year.

22 - Boonsboro’s Sarah Zelinski is The Herald-Mail’s Girls Indoor Track Athlete of the Year. … Boonsboro’s Becky Walter is Indoor Track Coach of the Year. … Boonsboro girls lacrosse team wins its first-ever match 11-10 over Smithsburg.
