The Stevenses celebrate 60 years

Robert and Pauline Stevens, lifelong residents of Boonsboro, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday, Nov. 19, 2012, with a family dinner at Hickory Bridge Restaurant in Ortanna, Pa.  
Robert and Pauline were married Nov. 16, 1952, at Zittlestown Church of God, near Boonsboro. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. David Ring, now deceased.
Mrs. Stevens was employed with the Washington County Board of Education as a secretary in the guidance counselors’ office of Boonsboro High School for 26 years before retiring in 1996.
Mr. Stevens served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 and was stationed in Germany for 18 months. Robert was employed for 40 years at Acme Markets in Hagerstown and Brunswick, Md. He retired in 1988. 
The Stevenses enjoy spending time with their two sons, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
