Mary Elaine (Heiston) Ingram, 66, of Hagerstown, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Born March 3, 1946, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles Henry and Virginia Isabelle (Eichelberger) Heiston.

She was a member of Lifehouse West Church in Hagerstown.

She retired as the supervisor of housekeeping at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Gerald Wilbur “Preacher” Ingram, who died Oct. 28, 2012.

She is survived by a son, Gerald A. Ingram, and a daughter, Amanda D. Ingram, both of Hagerstown; two brothers, Charles H. Heiston Jr. of Yeagertown, Pa., and Harold H. Heiston of Falling Waters, W.Va.; two sisters, Eleanor G. Cox of Lewistown, Pa., and Esther L. Engstrom of Stephens City, Va.; and five grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Justin Repp officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
