Carletia "Cotsie" Letbille Mowbray (Brunner) Davies, 84, of Hagerstown, Md., died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012.

She was born June 5, 1928, in Hagerstown, the daughter of the late Arthur and Claudia Mowbray.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis “Frank” Davies.

She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.

She was a member of Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 Auxiliary, VFW Post 6241 of Mercersburg, Pa., and The Improved Order of Red Men Tribe 84 of Williamsport.

She especially enjoyed playing golf, and you may have seen her on the local course up until this past summer.

She is survived two daughters, Cheryl Kelley Jacobs of Ocean Pines, Md., and Joni Brunner Suller and husband, Richard, of Pasadena, Md.; three sons, Clarence “Bunky” Guessford and wife, Charlene, Robert “Buddy” Kelley and wife, Patricia, and Erik Brunner and wife, Robin, all of Hagerstown; six stepchildren, Joseph Davies and wife, Waltraud, James Davies and wife, Vickie, Michael Davies, Christopher Davies, Mary Davies Gorman, and Carol Davies Kline and husband, Duane; 12 grandchildren, Michael Guessford, Christopher Neidlinger, Jason Kelley, Devin Kelley, Heather Brunner, Jennifer Brunner Rebuck, Sarah Brunner Dietz, Richard Suller, Joshua Suller, Brittany Suller, Derrick Brunner and Erica Brunner; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Richard “Ricky” Brunner; three sisters, Aleiece Deck, Kathleen Holmes and Myra Ringer; and two brothers, Huey Mowbray and Owen Mowbray.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 601 Washington Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. G. Stanley Steele will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
