Elizabeth Lottie Linton, 90, of 236 Taylor Avenue, Hagerstown, Md., passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, Monday, Dec. 17, 2012.

Born Feb. 27, 1922, in Foxville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Roy O. and Nellie M. Willard Smith.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Dison L. Linton, who died in October 1992.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving Elizabeth are seven of her nine children, five daughters, Janet Gift and husband, Russell, of Smithsburg, Emma Webster and husband, Marvin, of Hagerstown, Mary Reardon of New York, Connie Kuhns and husband, Wayne, of Arizona, and Bonnie Sypolt and husband, Charles, of West Virginia; two sons, Charles Linton and wife, Lupe, of Arizona, and Ricky Linton and wife, Cindy, of Williamsport; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by two sons, Franklin Linton and Larry Linton; four sisters, Ethel Schue, Mildred Lewis, Ruth Stottlemyer and Inez Winfield; and three brothers, Kennard Smith, Carmel Smith and Donald Smith.

Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington St., Hagerstown. Pastor James A. Coblentz will officiate. 

The family will receive friends Thursday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, from noon to 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD  21742.
