Hagerstown police searching for three men involved in armed robbery

December 17, 2012

HAGERSTOWN — Hagerstown police said they were searching for three men who barged in to an apartment at gunpoint Sunday night.

Sgt. Jim Hurd said Monday in an email that the incident happened shortly after 11 p.m. at 518 Lynnehaven Drive, where three men forced their way into Apartment 28 when a resident answered a knock at the door.

He said one of the men struck one of the victims with a revolver before making them get on the floor.

The alleged victims told police that the men ransacked the apartment and took wallets, money and cellphones.

The men fled on foot, police said. A K-9 unit was called, but was unable to track the men.

Anyone with information about the incident may call police at 301-790-3700.
