Christmas Eve service planned at church

LifeHouse Church Bethel, 515 E. Wilson Blvd., will hold a Christmas Eve communion service Monday, Dec. 24, from 6 to 7 p.m. The community is invited.


Lions Club

Tuesday — The Hagerstown Lions Club will hold its annual Christmas celebration with eggnog. After the party, Lions Club President Clare will lead members through a business and administrative meeting. It will be the final meeting of the year. The first meeting of 2013 will be Tuesday, Jan. 8.


City Market to hold Christmas event

On Saturday, the City Farmers Market will hold its Christmas event, starting at 8 a.m.

Gifts for You Giveaway is a gift-giving event for customers from city vendors and city staff. Beginning at 8 a.m. and taking place at least every hour until closing, donated gifts will be given away to customers who enter the market.

Customers can enter every time there is a drawing, but they can only win once. 

There will be children’s activities, including decorating gift bags and personalized ornament making. All activities are free. Children’s activities are open to those ages 12 and younger. Santa will make a visit at 9 a.m.

The market will remain open until 2 p.m. for last-minute shopping.
