A night to remember

December 11, 2012|Susie Hoffman | Around Funkstown

Good morning, friends. Is it beginning to sink in yet? The holidays are upon us and last Friday was a great way to embrace them.

The weather could not dampen the festive air in Funkstown. Old Tyme Christmas was a huge success and it was wonderful seeing neighbors and friends enjoying all our town has to offer.

Trains of Christmas

Most little boys and grown men alike have a fascination with trains and at Christmas this seems amplified.

The Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum on Burhans Boulevard in Hagerstown will feature its Trains of Christmas display Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.

There will be “O” gauge trains running through a snow-scene layout. There will also be a train setup for children to operate.

Admission costs $5 for adults and 50 cents for those ages 12 and younger.
Lions to meet

A quick reminder that the Funkstown Lions Club meets Wednesday at the Ramada Plaza Hotel on Underpass Way at 6:30 p.m.
