BOYS BASKETBALL

Saint James 61, St. John’s 48

FREDERICK, Md. — Obi Enechionyia scored 10 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter as Saint James pulled away from St. John’s Catholic Prep for an IPSL victory Monday.

The Saints (3-1) outscored the Vikings 20-7 in the fourth quarter after the game was tied 41-41 at the end of the third.

Nnamdi Enechionyia also scored 23 points for Saint James to go along with nine rebounds, while Obi Enechionyia added 11 rebounds and four blocks. Fred Slater had 10 points in the victory.

M.J. Ambers had 20 points for St. John’s Catholic Prep.

SMITHSBURG — Toby Christensen hit three 3-pointers en route to a game-high 13 points to lead St. Maria Goretti past Smithsburg.

Brady Shaper had 12 points, Tyrus Fleetwood, Forrest Buterbaugh and Isaiah Harris-Winn had 10 points each and Martin Geben had eight rebounds for the Gaels (6-4).

Stefawn Lowe had seven points and Cedric Barnes had six rebounds for the Leopards (1-1), who were outscored 45-14 in the second half.

Mawdo Sallah had a double-double with 20 points and 20 rebounds and added three blocks, Isaiah Daniels had 12 points and Cisco Silva had eight rebounds and five assists for the Lions (8-0).

STANTON, Del. — Tiffany Wallace had 16 points, but Hagerstown Community College was done in by turnovers and poor foul shooting in a loss to Delaware Tech.

The Hawks (3-7) made just 12 of 26 free throws and committed 17 turnovers, while Delaware Tech went 15-for-18 from the foul line.

Kristine Mstowski had 15 points, Katie Sprecher had 12 rebounds and Miesha Adams grabbed 11 boards for HCC.

Antoinette Robertson had 17 points and Joune Reed added 15 for Delaware Tech.

Josh Barron had a hat trick to lead the Washington County Northstars past Richard Montgomery-Rockville at the Hagerstown Ice & Sports Complex.

Drew Brooks had two goals, Sean Kreps had a goal and three assists, Kyle Omar, Michael DiMercurio and Arizona Zervas each had a goal, Chris Zacharias had three assists and Jeremy Benda  had 12 saves for the North Stars (4-1-1).
