Margaret Louise Souders was called home to our Lord on Dec. 9, 2012. Affectionately known to all as Louise, she passed away at her home after a short illness.

Louise was the beloved wife of the late Richard W. Souders. They were married on Thanksgiving Day in 1948 and enjoyed 47 years together as a loving couple. They shared their life, work and love for their pet dogs with family, friends and their church. Always willing to help others in need, Louise and “Dick” were each other’s constant companions.

Louise was employed for 54 years at M.P. Moller, Inc. She and her late husband carried on the family tradition of helping to craft the world’s finest pipe organs.

She loved her church and the friendships it provided. Louise was a member of Washington Square Baptist Church for 45 years. Louise and her late husband enjoyed singing in the senior choir and attending all the church functions. She was currently a member of the New Beginnings Community Church.

Born May 27, 1926, in Sharpsburg, Md., she was the daughter of the late Clarence H. and Dora G. (Burgan) Ebersole.

She is survived by one sister, Reva V. Souders of Keedysville; and one brother, Richard T. Ebersole of Williamsport. She is also survived by eight loving nieces and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Roy L. Ebersole, Clarence L. Ebersole and Melvin L. Ebersole; and one sister, Annabelle M. Staubs.

The family wishes to thank her personal caregivers, Mary, Cindy, Tawyna, Malia and Tiffany. Also, a special thank you to Sue Weir for her years of kindness; and the volunteers and staff of Hospice of Washington County.

The family will receive family and friends from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, Md.

Graveside services will be conducted by Pastor Mark Snyder immediately following, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington St., Hagerstown.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
