Products and services: L & J Liquors is focused on providing products at competitive prices, in an orderly and friendly atmosphere. We sell wine, liquor and beer, including a “build-your-own six-pack” option so folks can try different brands. Due to the store’s close proximity to Conococheague Creek and the Potomac River, we sell bait, including night crawlers and mealworms.

Target market: Williamsport and surrounding areas

How did you get into your business, and what motivated you to start it? JR and Linda enjoy entertaining and hope to help others have fun. In addition to providing beer, wine and liquor, they hope to share party-planning tips to make entertaining easier and more fun for hosts/hostesses.

Number of employees: Six part-timers

Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.
