Ada Alverda Rohrer, 96, of Hagerstown, Md., and formerly of Sharpsburg, Md., passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Autumn Assisted Living in Hagerstown.

Born June 18, 1916, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late George Harrison and Hilda May Delauney Mose.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Samuel Rohrer, in 1969.

She was a 1934 graduate of Hagerstown High School.

She owned and operated Rohrer's Dry Cleaning in Sharpsburg, and Shepherdstown, W.Va., for 30 years. She was previously employed by Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Sharpsburg.

She was a member of Antietam Unit 236 American Legion Auxiliary in Sharpsburg, American Kennel Club and National Pug Club.

She is survived by sister, Amelia G. "Pansy" Davis of Sharpsburg; niece, Mary Ann Eichelberger of Sharpsburg; niece, Kendra A. Harmon of Keedysville, Md.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, JoAnnette Rohrer Kretzer.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, Md., with the Rev. Ernest E. Witmer officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
