MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A 64-year-old Berkeley County man is accused of sexually assaulting a mentally impaired teenage girl in October, according Berkeley County Magistrate Court records.
Alexander T. Smith, of 451 Crestview Drive, Martinsburg, was arraigned Monday evening on two counts of sexual abuse and two counts of sexual assault by Magistrate Sandra L. Miller, according to court documents.
The victim was 14 years old when two sexual assaults allegedly occurred while the girl was with him, according to court documents.
West Virginia State Police Trooper W.R. Garrett said in a complaint against the defendant that he admitted having sexual intercourse with the girl at his residence and near the Van Metre Ford Stone Bridge east of Martinsburg, according to court documents.
