MERCERSBURG, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Game Commission and Pennsylvania State Police responded Saturday afternoon to the scene of a hunting accident in Montgomery Township, Pa., according to Franklin County Emergency Services.
The incident was reported at 4:44 p.m. and occurred in the area of the 8900 block of Corner Road, the release said. Fire and ambulance personnel were dispatched from the Mercersburg, Montgomery, Peters and Warren Volunteer Fire Co., along with a Waynesboro (Pa.) Advanced Life Support unit, the release said.
A medevac helicopter also was called in, the release said.
State police said the incident was being handled by the game commission. A commission spokesman said no information was available Saturday night.
