1. Christmas from olde tyme

Olde Tyme Christmas will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in Funkstown. The event begins with a Yule log bonfire at 6 p.m. The evening will include music and Santa at Town Hall; wagon rides, music at St. Paul's Church, living nativity in the park; shopping; raffles. 8:30 p.m. raffle and contest winners announced at Town Hall. 2. Coffee, music on a Friday night

Dana and Susan Robinson will perform a blend of contemporary songwriting and traditional Appalachian music at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Trinity Orchard House, W.Va. 45, Shepherdstown, W.Va. Open mic sign-up. Part of First Friday Coffeehouse. $5 to $10. Call 304-676-4422 or 304-876-2915.


3. Christmas for the children

Community children's Christmas party will be 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Hilltop Christian Fellowship, 12624 Trinity Church Drive, Clear Spring. Call 301-842-2225. Food, games, crafts, Santa Claus and a puppet show.


4. Food for funds

Wine and cheese fundraiser for Shepherdstown Public Library will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Shepherdstown Community Club, 102 E. German St., Shepherdstown, W.Va. Fundraiser. Adults are invited to enjoy complimentary snacks, wine and other beverages while viewing a presentation on "The One You Feed," a book by Victoria L. Horton. 6 to 8 p.m. Free; suggested price to purchaes or donate Victoria Horton's book is $50. All proceeds will go toward the support of the library. 5. Fredericksburg: Never forget

Art Callaham will present "Fredericksburg: It is Well That War Should be so Terrible," Thursday, Dec. 6, at Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, City Park, Hagerstown. Dinner is at 6 p.m. dinner; lecture is at 7 p.m. lecture. Dinner and lecture $25 nonmembers, $20 museum members; lecture only, $5 for nonmembers and free for museum members for lecture only.
