Eagles Club plans spaghetti dinner to benefit shelter

November 25, 2012

The Eagles Club of Hagerstown will hold an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner Saturday, Dec. 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. to benefit the Humane Society of Washington County.

The event was organized by Gregory Rohrer and will feature spaghetti with meatballs, salad, garlic bread and applesauce. Cakes will be served for dessert.

Tickets cost $7.50 and can be purchased seven days a week from 1 to 9 p.m. at the Eagles Club at 18 N. Locust St. in Hagerstown.

Tickets will also be available at the door. In addition, tickets will be available at the animal shelter from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

“We wanted to do something fun to help the homeless animals in Washington County,” Rohrer said.

“A spaghetti dinner seemed like a perfect way to raise money for the animals. One of the things we do at the club is raise money for our community and I have a soft spot in my heart for animals.”

The Eagles Club, also known as the Fraternal Order of Eagles, is a more than a century- old organization dedicated to creating a positive influence regionally, nationally, internationally and locally.
