2. Hunters' breakfast

Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 27, Concordia Lutheran Church 17906 Garden Lane, Hagerstown, will be selling Christmas trees. Fresh trees from Fulton County, Pa., and Garrett County, Md. Fraser firs, $45, available Nov. 27. Douglas fir, $35, available Wednesday, Dec. 5. Wreaths and centerpieces also for sale. Hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, noon to 7 p.m. Sunday.



5. Medicine's past

Harriet A. Washington, pictured, medical journalist and author, will discuss "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" by Rebecca Skloot, and her own book on social history of medical research mentioned in Skloot's book, "Medical Apartheid: The Dark History of Medical Experimentation on Black Americans from Colonial Times to the Present." Event will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Shepherd University's Erma Ora Byrd auditorium, off King Street, Shepherdstown, W.Va.
