Armed home invasion robbery reported in Martinsburg

resident unharmed

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Two men with pistols barged into a home on Virginia Avenue in Martinsburg, W.Va., Monday evening and took various items before they fled in a small vehicle, the Martinsburg Police Department said.

The home invasion occurred at about 6:30 p.m. at a home in the 600 block of Virginia Avenue, according to a police department news release.

Police said two armed men wearing black-hooded jackets and bandanas over their faces forced open the back door and entered the residence. The lone female occupant of the home was unharmed.

Officers said the robbers fled in a small vehicle that was dark in color.
