Salon donates $800

Linda Sue Renner, owner of Universal Hair Studios in Hagerstown, hosted the second annual Cuttin’ for Critters, a benefit for the Humane Society of Washington County.

Renner donated 100 percent of her salon proceeds from the event, which resulted in a cash donation of $800 to the animal shelter.

“I am so blessed and thrilled to be able to make this donation to the Humane Society of Washington County,” Renner said.

“I love animals and plan to hold an event for the HSWC once a year.”

The salon is at 1826 Dual Highway, Unit D, in Hagerstown.

“We’re very fortunate to have such generous supporters in our community,” said Katherine Cooker, manager of development and public relations at the shelter.
