Business seminars to be offered in Waynesboro area

November 18, 2012

The Continuing Education and Business Services Division at Hagerstown Community College has partnered with Mainstreet Waynesboro (Pa.) Inc.’s Economic Development Committee to offer business seminars in the Waynesboro area.

Mainstreet Waynesboro is designated by the Pennsylvania Downtown Center to oversee Waynesboro’s Main Street program. Main Street, a nationwide movement of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, is a comprehensive, community-based approach to revitalizing downtowns and central business districts.

The goal of Mainstreet Waynesboro is to create and maintain strategies that retain and recruit permanent businesses and other community resources in Waynesboro.

“By bringing seminars that HCC already offers directly to Waynesboro businesses, and formatting them in a way that is convenient for the small-business owner, HCC and Mainstreet Waynesboro are working together to help businesses be more successful,” said Tom Moore, economic development chairman of Mainstreet Waynesboro.
