Host of dinners offered during holiday week

Following is a list of organizations in the Tri-State area that are providing Thanksgiving dinners:

Nov. 22 — Mark and Jayne Metcalfe’s family will cook its ninth annual community dinner at the Lemasters (Pa.) Community Center off Steele Avenue. Delivery is available within the Tuscarora School District for older residents and those who are physically unable to go to the community center. The free meal with turkey and side items will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. To schedule a delivery, call 717-328-2366.

Nov. 22 — Waynesboro Area Community and Human Services will host its free dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church of Waynesboro, Pa. The free dinner at 43 S. Church St. is open to anyone.

Nov. 22 — The 11th annual free Thanksgiving dinner will be provided at St. Joseph School in Martinsburg, W.Va., from noon until 4 p.m. The event at 110 E. Stephen St. is sponsored by St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Nov. 22 — Fresh Wind Ministries will provide a free, traditional dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 111 Topper Ave., Suite 103, in Ranson, W.Va. For delivery in Jefferson County, call 304-820-4367.

Nov. 22 — The Chambersburg (Pa.) Salvation Army, 159 Lincoln Way West, will offer a free dinner from noon to 2 p.m.

Nov. 22 — Harvest Lighthouse Ministry and Hoss’s Family Steak and Sea House in Martinsburg, W.Va., will host a free meal from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the restaurant, 195 Aikens Center.
