Jeffrey Charles Gist, 46, of Westminster, died Nov. 15, 2012, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.

Born March 23, 1966, in Westminster, he was the son of Joan "Joann" Brothers Gist of Westminster and the late Charles Richard Gist.

He was a mason and bricklayer who worked for Mercury Masonry and other businesses. He was a 1984 graduate of Westminster High School. He enjoyed riding his Harley and being in the outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. He liked to work in his garden and collected model trains and airplanes. He enjoyed being with his family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his mother is son, Jeffrey Charles Lach of Hampton, Va.; brother, L. Richard Gist of Finksburg; and sister, Keli Houle of Finksburg; grandsons, Aedan, James and Daniel Lach; and special friend of many years, Rhonda Renehan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster. Officiating will be Rev. Joe Duke of LifePoint Church. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
