Andrew Rolland Strock of Hagerstown, Md., entered into God's eternal care Nov. 14, 2012.

Born Aug. 28, 1948, he was the son of the late Edgar Rolland Strock and Helen Moore Strock.

He graduated from North Hagerstown High School in 1966 in the top 1 percent of his class; from the University of Rochester in New York in 1970; and the Roosevelt School of Psychology of the University of Chicago in 1973 with a master's degree in clinical psychology.

He worked for Elgin State Hospital of Psychology for two years in Chicago, Ill. He was vice president of Roman & Strock Inc. Neon Signs from 1965 to 1978. He was employed by the M & M Mars Company since 1978 and was a northeast regional manager from 1980 to 1998.

He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church (formerly St. Paul's E.U.B. Church) for more than 50 years and a member of the Crossroads Sunday School class.

He was a member of Friendship Lodge No. 84 AF & AM since 1971, Ithiel Chapter No. 27 Royal Arch Masons, St. Bernard Commandery No. 9 Knights Templar; Ali Ghan Shrine Temple AAONMS of Cumberland, Md.; Hagerstown Shrine Club; B.P.O.E. Lodge 378, the Antietam Fire Co. of Hagerstown, and Longmeadow Volunteer Fire Co.

He also served two terms as president of Paramount Elementary PTA and one year as first vice president of Washington County Council of PTAs.

His interests included traveling, gardening, reading, classical music, football, and attending Maryland Symphony and Hagerstown Municipal Band concerts.

He is survived by his son, Nathan A. Strock and wife, Abigail, of Boonsboro, Md.; sister, Christine H. Strock of Potomac Falls, Va.; Diane Cooper Strock of Chambersburg, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Robison officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friendship Lodge 84 will conduct a memorial service.

Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 825 Hammonds Ferry Road, Linthicum, MD 21090.
