Julia Lorraine (Judy) Hutzell, 67, of Hagerstown, Md., died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center.

Born Feb. 17, 1945, in Washington County, Md., she was the daughter of the late William Lenuel and Clara Julia Myers Cash.

She graduated from South Hagerstown High School in 1963, and served on the reunion committee. She graduated from West Virginia Beauty School. She was employed by the Le Mar Beauty Salon until 1972. She then became a homemaker, from 1972 to 1999. She then went to work for Hecht's, in the handbag department, retiring in 2005.

She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church. She was the choir director for the senior adult, sanctuary, youth and children's choirs. She served in other positions in the church over the years. She was the guest pianist for several churches in the area. 

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Nelson (Skip) Hutzell; twin daughters, Kelly Lynn Hutzell and Kara Leigh Bowers, both of Hagerstown; one son, Mark Adrian Hutzell of Hagerstown; one grandchild, Jessica Hutzell; two stepgrandchildren, Alissa Diaz and T.J. Diaz; nieces and nephews; and cousins.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold L. Cash and William Morgan.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Thom C. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
