Gaither E. Moser, 89, of Wolfsville died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.

Born Sept. 20, 1923, in Wolfsville, he was the son of the late Roger and Edna Poffenberger Moser and stepson of the late Olive Moser.

He was the husband of the late Louise E. Leatherman Moser who preceded him in death on April 18, 1998.

Gaither was a member of The Grossnickle Church of the Brethren, Myersville. He farmed most of his life in the Wolfsville area and retired as a milk truck driver after 28 years of service with Earl Mercer Transport.

Surviving Gaither are three children, Marion E. Moser and wife Ruth of Boonsboro; Libby Foster and husband Stephen of Wolfsville and Larry G. Moser and wife Cookie of Middletown; four grandchildren, Michael E. Moser and wife Crystal of Hagerstown, Amy Foster of Walkersville, Christine Foster of Waynesboro, Pa., and Jason Moser and companion Paula of Mount Lena; three great-grandchildren, Sydney Moser, Ian Moser and Delainy Moser and two stepgranddaughters, Chrissy Jordan and Kellie Morton; two brothers, Merhle Moser and wife Ruth of Middletown, Carroll Moser and wife Annabelle of Harmony; and his sister-in-law, Grace Moser of Myersville.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Francis Moser.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Ricketts Funeral Home, Myersville with Pastor Donna Ritchey Martin officiating.

Burial will be in The Grossnickle Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Myersville.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral home will be open for visitation beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
