The problem: A stop sign at Hood and Baltimore streets in Hagerstown was hanging upside down last week. Apparently, a bolt holding up the top of the sign fell out.

Who can fix it: The city of Hagerstown

What they say: “We were not aware of this issue,” Eric Deike, the city’s director of public works, wrote in an email Wednesday, responding to a reporter’s inquiry. “The sign will be repaired Thursday, Nov. 8.”
As promised, the sign was fixed.
