November 07, 2012

GREENCASTLE, Pa. — The Greencastle-Antrim High School National Honor Society is hosting a coat drive to benefit the homeless center in Chambersburg, Pa. The coat drive began Monday and will continue through Friday, according to a school district news release.

Students hope to collect all types of warm weather items, including winter coats, hats, scarves and mittens to donate to local homeless shelters, according to the release.

G-AHS students will donate new or gently used clean coats, scarves and winter hats.

Organizers are asking that the community participate by dropping off winter coats and other items by the end of the week in a box in the lobby of the main office. Items also can be given to students to drop off in a homeroom.
