Mowbray to perform at library concert

 Guitarist Candice Mowbray will be the guest artist for the Nov. 4 Washington County Free Library Noteworthy Sundays at Your Library Concert.

The free concert begins at 3 p.m.  at the Clear Spring Leonard P Snyder Memorial Branch Library, 12624 Broadfording Road in Clear Spring

In the solo performance, Mowbray features works by the celebrated French guitar virtuoso Ida Presti as well as works by Lagoya, Pujol and Piazzolla.

Mowbray has appeared on television and radio, has been profiled in Classical Guitar Magazine’s “Letter from New York.”

She enjoys an active schedule as a soloist, chamber musician, and guest lecturer earning spots on concert series and guitar festivals such as the Ibero-American Guitar Festival, the Bethlehem Guitar Festival, and the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society Concert Series.

Mowbray is pursuing a DMA in classical guitar performance at Shenandoah Conservatory. Mowbray has taught for Shenandoah Conservatory, Shepherd University, Mount St. Mary’s University, Hagerstown and Frederick community colleges.
