Several years ago, the descendants of the men who were members of the Irish Brigade from New York and Massachusetts who fought at Antietam during the Civil War asked the Boy Scouts to honor their family members.

Recently, members of Troop 19 in Waynesboro, Pa., honored the fallen soldiers by reading the names of the 36 soldiers who gave their lives in service to their country.

Troop 19 is sponsored by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waynesboro.
