Dodgeball tournament to be held Nov. 10

The FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) of Clear Spring High School will sponsor a dodgeball tournament Saturday, Nov. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. 

CSHS students can form a team and play. 

The deadline for sign up is Wednesday, Nov. 7. 

The entry fee is $5 per person with six members on a team.

The winning team will receive double their entry fee in return. 

Spectators will pay $2 to watch the tournament.

FBLA will also host a restaurant fundraiser at Pizza Hut on Dual Highway Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. 

Coupons were included in the mailings home to families or can be picked up in the front office of the high school. 

The proceeds will be divided between the FBLA scholarship for graduation and the Region 1 competition in February.

FFA Alumni show to be held Nov. 16

It’s that time again, for the Little Roy Lewis and Lizzy Show.

The show is presented by the Clear Spring High School FFA and FFA Alumni. 

The concert is Friday, Nov. 16, at Clear Spring High School. 

The doors open at 5:30 p.m. for food and drinks for sale. 

The show starts at 7 p.m. 

Tickets cost $12 in advance or $15 at the door.

Homemakers to meet Nov. 6

Clear Spring Homemakers will meet Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m. at Windy Hill Restaurant. Members are asked to bring food for the food bank.

New members are welcome.

Alumni hoop games set for Dec. 1

There will be a Blazer Basketball Alumni Game on Saturday, Dec, 1, at Clear Spring High School’s gymnasium. 

The young grads game will begin at 5:30 p.m. for alumni graduating in 2003 or later. There will be a three-point contest at 6:30 p.m. 

Then at 7:30 p.m., is the game for “seasoned” grads for alumni graduating in 2002 and earlier.

There is a $10 player donation fee that includes a T-shirt.

Admission for fans is $2. Concessions will be available.

All proceeds benefit the Clear Spring High School basketball program.
