October 29, 2012

A 38-year-old man was being treated for a partially amputated finger Monday night in Hagerstown’s South End, according to Washington County Emergency Services.

The man’s finger was amputated to the first knuckle after it was slammed in a door, the 911 supervisor said. The man was expected to be taken to Meritus Medical Center, he said.

The call to the 1000 block of Virginia Avenue came in shortly after 7:30 p.m. Monday, the 911 supervisor said.
