Ruritan Club hosts pancake breakfast

Maugansville Ruritan Club will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Saturday from 6:30 to 11 a.m. at their blue building on Maugans Avenue. 

The breakfast features pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, sausage gravy, juice, coffee, and tea.

Tickets cost $5.50 for adults, $3 for those ages 6 to 12 and are free for those 5 and younger. There is plenty of free parking and the lines move quickly. 

All proceeds help support the many projects that the Ruritan Club sponsors.

Trick or treat set for tonight

Trick-or-treat night for the Maugansville community will be today from 6 to 8  p.m.

The Ruritan Club will pass out glow sticks, and help to supervise the Maugansville area for safety. 

Sandwich sale planned Nov. 8

The Middleburg/Mason-Line Historical Society will hold a roast beef sandwich sale Thursday, Nov. 8. Sandwiches cost $3 and must be ordered by Saturday, Nov. 3.  Ordered sandwiches can be picked up between 10 a.m. and noon on Nov. 8 at the State Line Ruritan building in State Line (Pa.) Community Park off U.S. 11 North.

Business workshop to be held Nov. 5

The Business and Professional Women’s Club of Hagerstown will hold a dinner/workshop Monday, Nov. 5, at Hager Hall, 901 Dual Highway. 

Attendees are encouraged to bring  their laptop and learn the importance of using LinkedIn professional social media to help grow their business.

The program will be presented by Colleen Mckenna, marketing consultant. 

Networking will be at 5 p.m., dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m., with the program to follow.

Senior Club to meet Nov. 6

The Maugansville Senior Friendship Club will meet for a Dutch treat lunch followed by a brief meeting at Nick’s Airport Inn on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at noon.

Area seniors are invited to join the club, which is a great way to meet and form friendships. The group holds a variety of events.

Women’s Club plans fundraiser

The Crossroads Garden Club at the Women’s Club will hold its annual fundraiser, “The Greens and Afterglow” on Sunday, Nov. 11, at noon at the club, 31 S. Prospect St. in Hagerstown. 

The presenter will be David Shover, a floral designer. 

Door prizes of Shover’s creations, raffles of gift baskets, and refreshments are included in the $12 ticket price.
