  • Community Harvest Celebration will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, Fort Ritchie Community Center, 14421 Lake Royer Drive, Cascade. Pastors of eight mountaintop churches in Cascade and Sabillasville, Md., and Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., will host a community harvest celebration. Bluegrass music, a showcase of pies, lemonade and apple cider. Free. Bring nonperishable food or paper products for the food bank.

1. Harvest celebration

2. Stick it to them

Fall Stamp Expo 2012 will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Chambersburg Recreation Center, 235 S. Third St., Chambersburg, Pa. Sponsored by Cumberland Valley Philatelic Society. The event will feature dealer bourse, exhibits and the U.S. Post Office. Free admission.


3. Keeping  the beat

Percussion and drumming festival will be noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Shepherd University's Frank Center, off University Drive, Shepherdstown, W.Va. Educational and entertaining clinics, as well as performances for drum and percussion students, teachers and enthusiasts. Free. Call 410-960-2771 or email michelle@percussionpro.com.



4. No tricks, lots of treats

Trunk or Treat will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Hagerstown Church of the Nazarene, 141 N. Edgewood Drive, Hagerstown. Children are invited to wear costumes and visit decorated trunks of cars in the parking lot. Candy will be given out to children at each trunk. Free hot dogs and drinks available. Free. 5. Music on the pipes

Jonathan Giblin will present an organ recital at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, featuring chant-based organ works by Scheidemann, Tournemire, Frescobali, Karg-Elert, Widor and Bach. The concert will be at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 129 N. Potomac St., downtown Hagerstown. Free. Call 301-733-0391 or email jwumcmd@yahoo.com.
