Susan Kay Miller, of 1098 S. Potomac St. in Hagerstown, Md., passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Born and lived in Hagerstown her whole life, she was the daughter of James and Verna Ensminger of Hagerstown.
She was a 1975 graduate of South Hagerstown High School.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Terry E. Miller; one daughter, Melody Susan Miller; one son, Timothy Eugene Miller; one sister, Sandy Lewis; five grandchildren, Matthew Lintz, Aiden Lintz, Khloe Presgraves, Nathan Miller and Gabrielle Miller; stepdaughter, Sherie Kershner and husband, Lance; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Miller; one sister, Pamela Ensminger; and brother-in-law, Terry Lewis.
Susie was the cornerstone of the family. She had a great love for her children and grandchildren, and anyone who was fortunate enough to be a part of her family or friends.
She was currently employed by Food Lion in the deli, and was a dental assistant and a school bus driver. She was a Girl Scout leader, a chaperone for the South High marching band and she sang for Shadowfax band. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, her home on Chincoteague Island, boating and fishing, and hosting family functions, and was an avid skier.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her husband, Terry, was also seriously injured, and he is currently at Shock Trauma in Baltimore. It is going to be a long recovery. Please pray for him.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Pastor Stanley and Stephanie Steele will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
Family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
