CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A Chambersburg man has plead guilty to one count of a criminal sexual act with a victim younger than 17 in connection to an alleged incident in New York.

Robert W. Murray, who was arrested Feb. 3, had three other criminal charges dismissed under the plea, according to New York’s online court records system.

A former Franklin Fire Department firefighter, Murray is scheduled for sentencing Nov. 26. Court records list his year of birth as 1971.

In a criminal complaint provided previously by the Richard County (N.Y.) District Attorney’s Office, detectives allege Murray performed a sex act while in a vehicle Jan. 13 on Staten Island. The boy later allegedly sent a picture of his genitals to Murray at his request, according to the complaint.
