1. Everybody loves a parade

Alsatia Mummers Parade will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27. The route begins at North Potomac Street through South Potomac Street, downtown Hagerstown. Features marching bands, floats and costumed mummers. Seating is available, go to or call 301-739-2044.

2. Time to party

A Halloween party for children ages 12 and younger will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at  Fort Ritchie Community Center, 14421 Lake Royer Drive, Cascade. Free games, prizes and refreshments. Call 301-241-5085.

3. Spooky real estate

Ravenseye Manor will be from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, and Saturday, Oct. 27, at the manor, 8778 Jordan Road, Fairplay.  Haunted hayride and dark corn maze. $10 for haunted hayride; $5 corn maze or $13 combo. 4. Halloween family fun

An evening of trucks and treats for the family will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at D.M. Bowman Inc.'s Professional Development Center, 10226 Governor Lane Blvd., Suite 4009, Williamsport. Call 800-609-0033.

5. Cookies and candles event

Denny Warrenfeltz will demonstrate pumpkin recipes on the open hearth and Diane Putman will show how to make candles from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Bowman House, 323 N. Main St., Boonsboro. Free. Call 301-432-8410.
