Three vehicles involved in crash at Cearfoss Pike traffic circle

CEARFOSS — Three vehicles were off the road following a traffic accident Monday afternoon at the intersection of Cearfoss Pike and Greencastle Pike at the traffic circle that also includes Fairview Road.

A Ford Explorer and a Nissan Maxima, each with front-end damage, came to rest against the fence at Cearfoss Emporium on Greencastle Pike. The fence was damaged.

A Honda SUV could be seen at the corner of Greencastle Pike and Cearfoss Pike parallel to the fence, against a yield sign.

Another yield sign were knocked over.

Greencastle Pike and Cearfoss Pike were blocked to traffic from the circle.

A firetruck from the Maugansville Volunteer Fire Co. and units from Maryland State Police and the Washington County Sheriff's Office were at the scene.

Police responded to the accident around 1 p.m. Monday.
