I-70 backs up into Washington County from Frederick County crash

October 21, 2012

One eastbound lane of Interestate 70 is now open, according to a Washington County 911 supervisor.

Traffic on Interstate 70 was starting to back up into Washington County Sunday night after the eastbound lanes were shut down in the Myersville, Md., area due to a vehicle accident, according to a Washington County 911 supervisor.

The eastbound lanes had been closed for about an hour and half as of 9:43 p.m., the supervisor said.

A Maryland State Police spokeswoman in Frederick County said the crash involved a pickup truck pulling a trailer and crews were cleaning up debris in the road.
