Smith, Mustangs do in Waynesboro

PREP FOOTBALL

ELLIOTTSBURG, Pa. — Zach Smith was a one-man for West Perry on Friday night in the Mustangs’ 35-7 victory over visiting Waynesboro.

Smith ran for 91 yards and four touchdowns and passed for 123 yards and another score. West Perry (6-2) led 14-0 at the end of the first quarter, 21-0 at halftime and 35-0 at the end of the third.

Johnnie Adgers ran for 86 yards on 18 carries for Waynesboro (2-6). He scored the Indians’ lone touchdown with 4:45 left in the game on a 19-yard run.

WILLIAMSPORT — Owen Marx and Tiago DeSouza had two goals and an assist each for Williamsport in a win over Francis Scott Key.

Ryan Schnurr had two assists and Corey Ellis had 11 saves for the Wildcats, who finished the regular season at 9-4.

Brunswick 8, South Hagerstown 1

BRUNSWICK, Md. — Josh Munoz scored on an assist by Austin Johnson for South Hagerstown in an MVAL Antietam loss to Brunswick.

Joe Rohr had nine saves and Brayden Tiner had two saves for the Rebels (1-10-1, 1-5).

JV: Brunswick, 2-0.

Southern Fulton 6, Johnstown Christian 2

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. — Josh Hill had two goals and an assist to lead Southern Fulton past Johnstown Christian.

Taylor Bohrer had two goals, Mason Bard had a goal and an assist, Morgan Strait had a goal and Shad Gordon had 14 saves for the Indians (4-11).

GREENCASTLE, Pa. — Two-time defending Pennsylvania state champion Cumberland Valley cruised past Greencastle-Antrim in the Mid-Penn Conference semifinals Thursday.

Kayleigh Smith had nine saves for the Blue Devils (15-3).

PAW PAW, W.Va. — Casey Solomon had 24 kills, 24 service points and 19 aces for Berkeley Springs in a 25-16, 18-25, 25-16, 25-17 win over Paw Paw.

Natalie Redick had 16 assists and Kortni Shambaugh had 11 service points for the Indians.

VIENNA, W.Va. — Kayla Walker had 12 kills, 12 digs and nine aces to lead Shepherd in a 25-12, 21-25, 25-27, 25-17, 15-7 WVIAC win over Ohio Valley (3-23, 1-9).

Meg Kenny had 15 kills, Melani Lewis had 12 kills and nine digs, Taylor Belella had 34 assists and 12 digs and Lauren Gardner had 23 digs for the Rams (6-14, 2-6).
