1. He's actually 'Got Talent'

2. Strings and sounds

North Hagerstown High Orchestra will present its Pops Concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at North Hagerstown High School auditorium, 1200 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Donations accepted.

3. Carving out funtime

Pumpkin carving for teens event will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Smithsburg Branch Library, 66 W. Water St., Smithsburg. Pumpkins and carving tools will be provided. Supplies are limited. 4:30 p.m. Free. For reservations, call 301-824-7722.

4. Posies for presidents

Cathy Miller will give a floral presentation at Hagerstown Garden Club's champagne reception from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at  Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, City Park, Hagerstown. $30, includes champagne, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and floral presentation. 5. Evening of masks and music

Masquerade Ball with a Cotton Club Twist will be from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday, Oct. 26, at Cortland Mansion, 19411 Cortland Drive, Hagerstown. Doors open at  7 p.m. The event will feature live music by The Darrell Jackson Project, unveiling of the new Doleman Black Heritage Museum collection exhibit, raffles.
