Margaret "Peggy" Elaine Goldsworthy Blair, 80, of Boyds, Md., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side.

Born Sept. 29, 1932, in Rockville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Theresa Coleman Paulsgrove and Paul E. Goldsworthy of La Vale, Md.; stepfather, Harry Paulsgrove Sr. She was also the wife of the late Dallas G. Blair for 54 years.

Peggy attended Richard Montgomery High in Rockville, and also attended Clarksburg United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, and a loving mother not only to her own children but to many others. Her hobbies were gardening, bird watching, and anything to do with nature. Peggy was known for her Sunday fried chicken and the fruitcakes she made every Christmas.

She is survived by a son, Michael Blair and wife, Margie, of Hamilton, Mont.; a daughter, Judith Hogan and husband, Jerry, of Ijamsville, Md., Theresa Toth and husband, Thomas, of Boyds, Md.; 16 grandchildren, Shawn Blair of Medford, Ore., Joshua Blair and wife, Julia, of Florence, Mont., Chad Blair and wife, Leanne, of Hamilton, Richard Blair of Missoula, Mont., Cody and Zachary Blair of Hamilton, Dallas Hogan and wife, Leslie, of Middletown, Md., Jordan Hogan of Union Bridge, Md., Juliana Hogan of Ijamsville, Tessa Toth and friend, David, of Provo, Utah, Tyler and Tara Toth of Boyds, and Loren Blair of New Windsor, Md.; six great-grandchildren, Camden, Aris, Dallas, Lee, Audrey and Scott Blair, all of Montana, and three on the way, Dallas Blair Hogan and Blair twins; sisters, Gloria Maines and Fred, Joyce Paulsgrove and Roger, both of Frederick, Janet Leith and husband, Ottis, of Ijamsville, Harry Paulsgrove Jr. and wife, Polly, of Frederick, and Gerald Paulsgrove and wife, Kathy, of Monrovia, Md., along with numerous nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Mary Mason and Betty Blair of Clear Spring, Md., and Elva Blair of Hagerstown.

She was preceded in death by a son, Todd Blair; sister, Carol Ray; and nephew, Michael Wassell. Peggy will also be remembered by her special lifelong friend, Charles "Booty" Hilderbrand.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Molesworth-Williams P.A., Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD 20872. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Clarksburg Methodist Cemetery, Clarksburg, Md.
