October 15, 2012

A total of 40 incidents were reported on Washington County roadways Monday, including 10 personal-injury crashes, a county Emergency Services dispatcher said.

The car accidents were mostly minor in nature, although some people were transported to hospitals for their injuries, the dispatcher said.

The list of accidents, which included a dumptruck rollover crash on Interstate 70 near Hagerstown, was compiled since midnight Monday through about 9 p.m., the dispatcher said.

Showers and windy conditions swept through the area early Monday afternoon, dropping about 0.15 inches of rain, according to local weather observer Greg Keefer’s website, i4weather.net.
