Treasure sale

The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts will present its 13th annual Treasure Sale Nov. 2 and 3.

The preview reception will be Friday, Nov. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be refreshments and a silent auction. It costs $20 per person to attend. Advance tickets are on sale at the museum, which is in Hagerstown City Park. Each ticket includes a $5 coupon good toward purchases totaling $35 or more on the day of the sale.

The sale will be Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Donated items will be received at the museum Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. 4 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the Singer Society, the museum’s volunteer organization, to benefit the museum.

Discovery Station

Mary Licht and Pat Beard will present the lab “Mystery Goo” Saturday at 11 a.m. at Discovery Station in downtown Hagerstown.

The event is limited to 16 reservations for students in grades three to five.

Lions Club

Tuesday — The Hagerstown Lions Club will hold its monthly business and administrative meeting.

Spaghetti dinner fundraiser planned

There will be a spaghetti dinner fundraiser Friday, Oct. 26, in memory of Tyler Miller and Travis Curry at the Elks Lodge on Robinwood Drive in Hagerstown.

Dinner will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and entertainment will start at 8 p.m.

Tickets cost $10, with all proceeds going to the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore to benefit Adrenoleukodystrophy, or ALD.

Basket bingo

A basket, pottery and cash bingo will be held Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Elks Lodge on Robinwood Drive.

Tickets cost $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Lunch is included in the ticket price.

Doors open at 11 a.m., lunch will be served at noon and bingo starts at 1 p.m.

There will be eight basket prizes, seven pottery prizes and 15 cash prizes. There also will be raffles, tip jars, King Tuts and 50/50.

The community is invited.

Participants must be 18 or older to attend.

Baked goods and sodas will be available for purchase.
