Pumpkins used to damage windshields and windows on cars

October 12, 2012

Hagerstown Police Department officers are reminding people to be respectful when playing Halloween tricks after pumpkins were used to damage cars in north Hagerstown over the weekend.

Pumpkins were used to damage windshields and windows on cars in three incidents, according to a news release.

“While this may seem laughable to some, it causes an extensive amount of damage and is certainly illegal. The Hagerstown Police Department will aggressively investigate each case, exhausting all leads; and will seek prosecution where warranted,” the release said.

Anyone who sees suspicious activity can contact city police at 301-790-3700 or email tips to crimetip@hagerstownpd.org.
