The annual harvest hoedown and community yard sale will take place Saturday at Hagerstown’s Fairgrounds Park.
The yard sale will be held from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. It consists of more than 70 stalls filled with items for sale. Entrance to the yard sale is off of Cannon Avenue.
The harvest hoedown will be from 1 to 4 p.m. It can be accessed from the Cleveland Avenue entrance.
A free pumpkin and apple will be given to the first 1,000 children ages 12 and younger.
Activities include scarecrow-making by the Community Free Clinic while supplies last; pumpkin painting; balloon giveaways; face painting by Walker Performing Arts; Washington County Antique Tractor Club barrel cart rides and hayrides; petting zoo; pony rides by D&D Pony Rides; cake walk by Sunlight 4-H; and City Farmers Market vendors.
Entertainment will be provided by the Country Showcase of America Jamboree. Performances will also be provided by Dancin’ Time Studios and Washington County Show Kids and Show Co. The basketball courts will be open.
The hoedown is sponsored by the city of Hagerstown, Pediatric Dental Center of Frederick, Antietam Cable Television/Disney Jr., the Maryland Apple Promotion Board, and PNC Bank.
