Violet Mae Ferguson, 90, of Hagerstown, Md., died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Golden Living Center.

Born May 28, 1922, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late George V. and Mary Carpenter Williams.

Her husband, John “Jack” Ferguson, passed away Jan. 27, 1968.

Mrs. Ferguson worked at Washington County Hospital years ago and she also did house cleaning for people. She also was known for her good sticky buns.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Ann Bussard and her husband, Ralph, and Beverly M. Renner; one son, Jack Ferguson and his wife, Anne, of Germany; one brother, Lester Williams; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and special caregivers, Trina Weatherholtz and Rodney Renner.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mildred Turner, Mary Louise Turner and Betty Jane Miley; one brother, George V. Williams Jr.; and a very special friend, Charles McCarney.

There will be no services

Arrangements were made by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
