Fulton Co. man charged with simple assault

A McConnellsburg, Pa., man has been charged with assaulting a woman Tuesday at a home in Ayr Township, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Justin Allen Garlock, 22, was charged with simple assault, according to a state police news release.

Troopers alleged that Garlock struck a 29-year-old woman when an argument turned physical at a house at 1489 Cito Road in McConnellsburg.

Garlock was released from jail on a $50,000 unsecured bond, the release said.


Cat shot, leg amputated

Pennsylvania State Police said a woman’s pet cat’s leg had to be amputated after it was shot earlier this week in Ayr Township.

The cat was shot between Monday and Wednesday in the 2400 block of Cito Road in Big Cove Tannery, according to a state police news release.
