October 04, 2012

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Berkeley County man is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a church parking lot last month, according to Berkeley Court Magistrate Court documents.

Christopher Michael Jensen, 21, of 357 Cheswick Drive, Martinsburg, was arraigned Wednesday on one count of second-degree sexual assault and one count of first-degree sexual abuse, according to court documents.

West Virginia State Police Cpl. F.H. Edwards said the victim had two round black and blue marks on both of her arms near her biceps as well as similar marks on her legs near her thighs when he interviewed her on Oct. 1, according to court documents.

Edwards was told the alleged assault occurred on Sept. 22 after she had gotten off work and police were shown photographs taken by the 20-year-old victim’s mother after the attack that show the woman’s injuries to her legs and arms were more significant at that time, according to court documents.

The victim told police that the defendant was not her boyfriend, but indicated they had agreed to go to the parking lot of a church off Lovelace Way to “make out” after she picked him up in her van, according to court documents.

The assault allegedly happened in the back seat of her vehicle, according to court documents.
