1. Dance, dance

Dancing with the Arc Stars will be Saturday, Oct. 6, at Hager Hall Conference and Event Center, 901 Dual Highway, east of Hagerstown. Cocktail hour featuring a dancing exhibition by students from Barbara Ingram School for the Arts, 6 p.m. Dinner and dance competition at 7 p.m. The trio of dancers competing along with their professional partners are Heather Guessford, career development manager at Kaplan University, pictured; Joseph Ross, president and CEO of Meritus Health; and Clayton Wilcox, Washington County Public Schools superintendent. $75. 2. Nothing can be 'butter'

Apple Butter Festival will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, in downtown Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Apple butter in copper kettles, parade on Saturday at 9 a.m., hog calling contest on Sunday afternoon, farmers market and musical entertainment including Hillbilly Huxters, Critton Hollow String Band and Banana Express. Harvest Hoedown will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Saturday, Oct. 6, at Byron Memorial Park, off U.S. 11, Williams-port. A fundraiser for Williamsport Food Bank. Food, scarecrow making, pumpkin painting, silent auction, children's games, vendors, petting zoo and more. Sponsored by Williamsport Ministerium. Donations to Williamsport Food Bank will be accepted.

5. American musical revue

"A Celebration of the American Songbook'"  will be at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, and Saturday, Oct. 6; 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7.
